Our advanced aesthetics training courses in the use of both botulinum toxin and dermal fillers are held in London’s Harley Street and Leeds, and consist of two theoretical study days followed by one day of practical hands-on experience with an expert tutor. This course is designed for those who want to build on their foundation knowledge and so be able to provide further treatments that can rejuvenate and enhance their patients. It enables those who take the course to offer cutting edge treatments.

We place a strong emphasis on anatomical knowledge and underpin all of our treatments with an understanding of evidence-based science. Our advanced course in botulinum toxin and dermal fillers is founded on the unique approach and techniques of Dr Ivona Igerc; it will enable you to learn how to rejuvenate your patients through application of three key principles: the science of ageing and the mathematics and artistry of beauty. Armed with this knowledge you will not simply be chasing lines and wrinkles. Instead, you will be able to rejuvenate your patients with the most natural and effective of enhancements, and in doing so gain a strong competitive advantage over competitors.

On completing this course, you will have a firm knowledge and understanding of how to execute the following treatments:

Consolidation and expansion of botulinum toxin treatment for the upper facial third, using techniques such as “micro botox”, “baby botox”

Previous foundation training in botulinum toxin and dermal fillers must have been completed to enrol in this course. If you did not complete your foundation course with us, this is not a problem - we will just require evidence of its completion elsewhere. All delegates must have an active registration with the GMC, NMC or GDC, or an equivalent. Dr Ivona Igerc - DMD, Aesthetics

Dr Ivona Igerc is a key opinion leader in the field of anti-ageing and aesthetic medicine, with a wealth of international experience, teaching students all around the world. She has been involved in pioneering non-surgical rhinoplasty and the liquid face-lift, and continues to be involved in the application and development of PDO threads. She is author of the widely acclaimed book ‘The Face’ and is President of The Academy of Face Design, Harley street, previous president of The American Academy.

Victoria Martin - NIP, RN, BA, AdvDipHE

Victoria Martin (NIP) is a director of Serenity Aesthetics, and has grown Serenity into one of the leading clinics both in Leeds and in Yorkshire more widely. She is a strong advocate of a holistic approach to cosmetic medicine, and alongside making this a foundation of her aesthetics practice, she encourages it as a serious supporter of thoughtful education within the profession. She gives talks on a wide range of allied subjects, and has frequently been invited to sit on aesthetic advisory panels.

FAQs

How soon after my foundation course in botox and dermal fillers, can I complete my advanced?
We recommend that you will have been working in aesthetics regularly and have completed at least 30 cases in each foundation treatment. If you have attended a foundation course, but are feeling that you want to refresh your knowledge, our botox and dermal filler refresher course may be the thing for you. How many students to a tutor?
We believe in keeping our groups small, so that you gain the most from working with us. Our training courses have a maximum of 5 students to each expert trainer for hands-on experience. During the theoretical portion of your training, there will be no more than 10 students.

Can the advanced course be 1-2-1 training?
Yes, we understand if you would find it more conducive to your learning to have one-to-one sessions. Please contact us at info@serenityaesthetics.co.uk so that we can arrange this for you.

Will I get enough hands-on training?
You will receive one day of hands-on training, and with our small student groups you will have plenty of time, practice and guidance in the practical aspect of your training. This is precisely why we decided to hold a 3 day course.

Is there any pre course reading?
Yes, We will send you pre-course reading once we have received your course payment in full.

Are models supplied on the day?
Models are supplied on the day, though it may be beneficial for you to bring your own model. This will allow you to follow up your model 2 weeks after treatment to see the finished results.

Is there any form of assessment?
Yes, at the end of the course there is an assessment which completes your course with us.

Are all differing medical professionals taught together?
No, we have decided that, to help facilitate your learning, the differing medical professionals should have their own separate courses. This is not because we feel there may be artificial barriers between professionals - we are all very used to working and functioning in a multidisciplinary setting. However, in this particular context we wanted to make sure that all of our students are as comfortable and confident as possible in a dynamic that allows for all to participate in our interactive learning style and to ask questions freely.

What does ongoing mentor support include?
After you graduate from one of our courses, you can rest assured that you will always have an expert to turn to. This means that whether you need advice on a patient, or are looking for business support, we are there for you. We believe in building a feeling of family at our Academy and therefore this service is absolutely free of charge.
