Our foundation training courses in the use and administering of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers are designed for those who are complete beginners in the field of aesthetic medicine. These consist of two days of theoretical study, followed by one day of practical hands-on experience with an expert tutor either at our Harley street, London or Leeds based location. On completing the foundation course in botox and dermal fillers, you will have the ultimate start to your career in aesthetic medicine, since the courses cover not only theoretical knowledge and practical experience, but also the business implications of starting your own practice. We will continue to offer you support after graduating with us, so that you feel competent and confident.

To ensure that you gain comprehensive knowledge of how botox and dermal fillers work, and in the art and science of how they should be used, we believe that a three day foundation course is the best thing all round. We know that ‘fast track’ courses in botox and dermal filler are available elsewhere and that some take place in as little as one day. We firmly believe that these brief courses frequently fall short of a beginner’s real needs, and so we offer a more thorough and in-depth experience that really does give you the best possible start to your aesthetics career.

We aim to educate you thoroughly in both the theoretical and practical elements of injectable medicine, and to provide you with the necessary tools to carry out effective consultations and patient assessment. To prepare you fully, our courses will give you a comprehensive understanding of the ageing process and of facial anatomy, while also ensuring you will feel confident to recognise and handle potential complications. And because we want to give you that extra cutting edge head-start if you are going on to set up your own practice, we will follow through with helpful business advice and awareness of the professional methods that, as industry experts, we use ourselves.

No previous experience in aesthetics is required to take one of our foundation courses. However, all delegates must hold an active registration with the GMC, NMC, or GDC, or an equivalent. This includes, doctors, nurses, dental therapists, pharmacists, paramedics and ODP’s.

All of our educators are highly experienced and experts in their own right:

Dr Ivona Igerc - DMD, Aesthetics

Dr Ivona is a key opinion leader in the field of anti-ageing and aesthetic medicine, and has a wealth of experience teaching students all around the world. She has been involved in the development of several medical devices, as well as being involved in pioneering the liquid face-lift, non-surgical rhinoplasty, and PDO threading. She is the President of The Academy of Face Design, Harley street.

Foundation Course in Botox and Dermal Fillers

FAQs

How many students are there to a tutor for the foundation course in botox and dermal fillers?
We believe in keeping our groups small so that you gain the most from your training with us. Our training courses have a maximum of 5 students to one expert trainer in all hands-on sessions. During the theoretical sessions, there will be a maximum of 10.

Will I get enough botox and dermal filler hands-on training?
You will receive one full day’s hands-on training, and with our small student groups you will have plenty of time, practice and guidance in the practical aspect of your training. Indeed, this is precisely why we decided to hold a 3 day foundation course with small numbers. Your three days with us will be the start of an exciting new career and we feel passionately about ensuring you have the best start possible.

Is there any pre-course reading?
Yes, we will send you pre-course reading once we have received your course payment in full.

Are models supplied on the day?
Models are supplied on the day. However, it may be beneficial for you to bring your own model. This will allow you to follow up with your model 2 weeks after treatment to see the finished results.

Is there any form of assessment?
Yes, at the end of the course there will be an assessment in order to complete your course with us. We will also require you to complete 5 case studies after your graduation.

Are all differing medical professionals taught together?
No, we have decided that to help facilitate your learning, the differing medical professionals should have their own separate courses. This is not because we believe that there is, or should be, any segregation between medical professionals – after all, we are very use to working and functioning in multi-disciplinary settings. However, in a teaching context we wanted to make all of our course members as comfortable and confident as possible among fellow students who most likely share similar and familiar professional experience: we believe this helps ensure the easiest dynamic for all to participate freely in our interactive learning style and to be able to ask questions freely.

What does ongoing mentor support include?
After you graduate from one of our courses, you can rest assured that you will always have an expert to turn to. Whether this is for advice on a patient, or for business support, we are there for you. We believe in fostering the feeling of family at our Academy, and therefore this service is absolutely free of charge.

Do I need to be a prescriber to start a career in aesthetics?
No, you do not need to be a prescriber. To enrol on one of our courses, you must have an active registration with a regulatory body. However, on graduating with us and commencing your own practice, if you are not a prescriber yourself you will need to have access to an experienced prescriber for all your prescription requirements.

Can I pay for this course in instalments?
Yes, we can arrange to spread the cost of your foundation course in botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. However, the full payment must be received before starting your course and receiving your pre-course reading materials.
