Frequently Asked Questions
What is full Facial Rejuvenation?
Full Facial Rejuvenation often refers to hyaluronic acid dermal fillers injected into the face to add volume, providing a more lifted and youthful appearance, to areas of the face that have succumbed to the ageing process. As we age, we experience bone and deep fat loss, muscle wastage, superficial fat growth and changes to the skin. With the aid of dermal fillers, we can replicate bone and deep fat, giving a more lifted appearance. Fine lines and wrinkles can also be address using less viscous dermal fillers in the more superficial layers. Dermal fillers give an instant result, although they take up to four weeks to integrate into the skin tissue.
The term "Full Facial Rejuvenation" can apply to other treatments that have anti-ageing benefits. These include Botox, microneedling, chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing, radiofrequency, to name a few. At your consultation with us, we will discuss the importance of adopting a holistic approach to facial rejuvenation. Each treatment is a tool in the box and therefore, a combination of treatments will deliver you optimal results, while maintaining a natural appearance. At Serenity, we will devise you a bespoke treatment plan to deliver you your desired results.
Is Full Facial Rejuvenation for everyone?
Full Facial Rejuvenation can be for anyone – male and female, however, it is important to discuss your requirements with your practitioner. Typically, younger patients may require less volume of dermal filler to be used to achieve the desire result. There may be some instances where the desired result is not entirely obtainable with dermal fillers alone and therefore your practitioner will advise of you other treatments of specialists you may need to seek on your rejuvenation journey.
With our many years of experience at Serenity, we will always advise you honestly and ethically.
How long does Full Facial Rejuvenation last?
Full Facial Rejuvenation with dermal fillers typically lasts between 6 -12 months. This is dependent on the individual. Factors such as metabolic speed, increased exercise impact the longevity of dermal filler. After having dermal fillers for the first time, you will have a better understanding of how long they will last for you. It is also possible that if you keep up with treatment regularly, you will see an accumulative effect.
What is the best Facial Rejuvenation Treatment?
There are several treatments, each we would describe as “tools in the tool-box” for facial rejuvenation.
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers provide volume and an element of lifting capacity. They can be used in various areas of the face including the temples, cheeks, jawline, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, lips and chin. Your practitioner will advise you on the areas that would benefit you for Full Facial Rejuvenation.
Botox is another popular treatment for facial rejuvenation, which reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles caused by dynamic movement, such as frowning and squinting. Lasting for approximately three months.
Chemical peels are very popular for facial rejuvenation and as an entry level treatment. By removing the top layer of dead skin from the face, a more radiant and youthful complexion is revealed. These results can last several months. At Serenity, our AlumierMD peels require very little down time. Offering different strength peels means we can tailor your treatment specifically to you and your skin.
One of our top treatments, known as Tribella® revolutionises your skin. It is important to think in layers in anti-ageing medicine. For facial rejuvenation, we should ideally work on the deeper and more superficial structures to give the ultimate result and the most natural. For Tribella® - step 1, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is used to even out skin tone concerns, such as pigmentation and red veins. Step 2, multipolar radiofrequency technology stimulates collagen, providing you with a plump and lifted feeling. Step 3, NanoFractional skin resurfacing, leaves the skin feeling baby soft, addressing textural concerns.
With our holistic approach to anti-ageing medicine, we typically combine treatments, devising you a personalised treatment plan for Full Facial Rejuvenation. By adopting this approach, you will achieve a natural enhancement.
