Botox and Dermal Fillers Training Academy

The Academy (in partnership with The Academy of Face Design)

Harley street, London & Leeds Training Course

The Academy operates with a core principle: we believe in really empowering our students and each course we teach aims to give you the means to achieve a high level of confidence. We begin by ensuring that anatomy is a strong underpinning for all of our aesthetic medicine courses. With training by industry experts, we ensure that the quality of our education shines through. Our courses also include comprehensive hands-on experience, to ensure that you feel confident throughout any of the different disciplines we teach and competent to apply the skills you have been taught in your own practice.

Our theoretical training course also involves a more interactive and dynamic style of learning than the more common lecture-based experience. With only a small number of students per tutor per course, we know that learning is enhanced and that individuals feel more comfortable.

Although we train people across the wide range of medical professionals with our Botox and Filler training course – all of whom need to have an active registration with a regulatory body to study with us - we provide separate courses for the individual professions. We do not intend to imply by this that there is or should be any form of segregation between practitioners of different medical backgrounds; rather we have observed that, in a course context, working practically alongside professionals with immediately similar experience assists individual learning and makes the interactive exchange we like to encourage easier and more productive.

With your courses completed, we also want you to continue to feel supported after you graduate with us, and therefore we are pleased to offer our ongoing mentorship scheme to help you every step of the way with your aesthetics career. There is no charge for this and is all included as part of your training course journey with us.

Our central London location means that you have the opportunity to train on the world-renowned Harley Street, and all certification is issued from our Harley street campus.

Meanwhile, if it is more convenient to your circumstances to take courses in our city centre Leeds location, these are also available and take place within our well-equipped and comfortable clinic.

FAQs

Who do we train?
Our training courses are for medical professionals who possess membership of a regulatory body. This includes doctors, dentists, nurses, physiotherapists and so on. We will ask for evidence of your regulatory body registration on booking your course with us.

What levels do we train?
Our courses range from beginner, though advanced to expert. Each course is uniquely designed and will be geared to your experience.

Do we offer bespoke training?
Yes, we can offer you bespoke training tailored to meet your needs. This can be for a small group or individually, 1- to -1. Please call 07825443102 to discuss your requirements with us further.

What ongoing support do I receive after graduating?
Whether you need advice on a patient or need business support, our experts are always there to support you every step of the way. We understand that for some people setting up their own practice, it can be a daunting experience to work in a more isolated fashion than before. This is why we not only equip you with the solid foundations you will require in practical knowledge but also offer you the peace of mind of knowing that you always have an expert to hand if need be. There is absolutely no charge for this.

Are models provided?
Yes, we provide models for you, although we do encourage you to bring your own models, so that you can follow them up two weeks after your training date. If you would like to supply your own model, please speak to us when reserving your place on your chosen aesthetic course.

How do I become a qualified aesthetic nurse?
On completing your nursing qualification, we recommend that you gain valuable experience working as a general nurse. The British Association of Cosmetic Nurses recommends at least two years’ experience before starting your foundation course in aesthetic medicine.

What qualifications do you need for aesthetics?
We only train students with an active membership of a regulatory medical body. These include doctors, dentists, nurses and so on.

Can non-prescribing medics train in aesthetics?
Yes, non-prescribing medics can train in aesthetics. However, on completing your course you will need to have access to an experienced, qualified prescriber.

Am I insured on the day?
Yes, all of our students are insured for the full duration of the course. On graduating with us, you will need to ensure that you have arranged your own insurance to commence practice.

Why is our foundation course in injectables three days long?
We understand there are courses of just one day being offered out there. However, at The Serenity Aesthetics Academy we believe in giving you the most comprehensive knowledge we can. We therefore deliver two separate days of theory and discussion, followed by onel day of hands-on training. Due to the very small number of students on each course, your hands-on training will ensure you feel confident and competent to start your aesthetics career.

Why is our advanced course in injectables three days long?
The Academy of Face Design always strives to bring you the most comprehensive courses available on the market. We also understand the importance of an immersive educational experience, which is why – as with our foundation courses - we hold two separate days of theory and one day’s hands-on training. Our theoretical training is also highly interactive, rather than being lecture based.

Can I pay for my course in instalments?
Yes, courses can be paid in instalments. Please call 07825443102 to discuss this. The full fee for each course must be paid before the course start date.

Do I receive a certificate after I complete my course?
Yes, all students who have completed their course with us will receive a certificate issued from our Harley street offices. All CPD points will be recorded on your certificate.

Are there any changes to the course due to COVID-19?
Yes, due to the current public health situation, we will be carrying out all of the theoretical aspect remotely. We have found this to be very effective. The hands-on training for each delegate will be in small groups or dependent on the latest government guidelines.
