Firmer Skin
Suitable For All Skin Types
hello world!

Skin beauty boosters are an injectable moisturiser which will leave your skin hydrated and radiant. They are an award-winning product consisting of amino acids which stimulate collagen production, antioxidants that prevent free radical damage to the skin from stressors such as UV rays and pollution, minerals to support DNA synthesis and cell division, vitamins to give energy for cell metabolism and hyaluronic acid. With all of these vital ingredients injected into the skin, a more youthful and luminous complexion is restored and fine lines are decreased.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Happens During My First Consultation and Treatment?

At your face-to-face consultation with one of our nurse prescribers you will have the opportunity to discuss Redensity I Skin Beauty Booster, when they will explain to you the anticipated treatment outcomes and the potential side effects that can occur. We need to ensure you are fully aware of all the potential risks so that you can make an informed decision on whether you would like to proceed with treatment. Questions about your medical history - especially medications, both prescribed and over the counter that you are taking or have taken recently - will be asked to ensure that you are suitable for treatment. Also, if you have had any previous non-surgical treatments, we will need to know what those treatments were and what products have been used. If you wish to proceed with treatment, you will be required to read and sign a consent form and pictures will be taken of your face and the treatment area. These will be held on your file for future reference. We ask that you arrive with minimal or no make-up to your appointment as this will be required to be removed from the treatment site and the skin cleansed. Following any injections, the skin will be further cleansed, and aftercare will be discussed and explained in full. We will also email you aftercare instructions with our out of hours telephone number.

What Should I Do Before Treatment?

  • We advise that you abstain from alcohol for 24 hours.
  • Please make us aware of any medications that you take, both prescribed and over the counter. If you are currently taking anticoagulant therapy you should ensure you have discussed this with us.
  • We are unable to treat you if you have taken Roaccutane in the past 6 months.
  • Please advise us if you suffer with cold sores as we will want to discuss how this can affect your treatment.
  • If you are taking antibiotics then treatment is not recommended.

What Should / Shouldn’t I Do After My Treatment?

  • Immediately after treatment you will be advised not to rub or touch the treated areas for 24 hours.
  • There may be bruising, swelling and tenderness after your treatment. This is normal and can take several days to settle. Arnica cream or gel can be applied to any bruised areas.
  • You must not apply make up for 24 hours.
  • Do not perform strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
  • Avoid hot baths for 24 hours.
  • Avoid saunas & steam rooms for 2 weeks.
  • Avoid increased UV exposure for 2 weeks.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.
  • In the rare event that something doesn't feel right, or you have any further questions/concerns, it is important to contact the clinic or the out of hours number provided as soon as possible.

Are Results Immediate?

After treatment, small bumps will be visible on the treated area. These can take up to 24 hours to disappear as the product integrates with the skin tissue. After this, you will start to see the results of treatment.

How Many Treatments Are Required for Results?

Although you may see results from just one treatment, it is recommended that you have three sessions three weeks apart to achieve optimal results. To then maintain these results, two to three sessions are recommended each year.

What Areas Can Be Treated With Skin Beauty Boosters?

Skin beauty boosters can be used on the face, neck, décolletage and the back of the hands. Your practitioner will discuss with you the best options for the areas that are causing you concern.

Who Is Suitable for Skin Beauty Booster Treatments?

Skin beauty boosters or injectable moisturiser is suitable for those that are seeing the first signs of ageing, dull, or crêpey skin. At your consultation your medical history will be discussed, along with any medications both prescribed and over the counter that you are currently taking, or have taken recently, to ensure you are suitable medically. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or think you could be pregnant, you will not be able to have treatment.

Is the Treatment Area Numbed Prior to Any Injections and Is It Painful?

To ensure your comfort throughout, we are able to numb the treatment area with a topical anaesthetic cream. You may be asked to arrive 30 minutes early for your appointment so that this can be applied.

How Long Do Beauty Boosters Last?

Results after a course of three typically last up to one year. To maintain results two to three sessions per year are recommended. Results can be optimised by combining home medical grade skincare (link to skincare page) and/or Profhilo.

What Is the Difference Between Skin Beauty Boosters and Profhilo?

Skin beauty boosters contains 15mg/mL hyaluronic acid, 8 amino acids, 3 antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. These are formulated to be an injectable moisturiser that gives the skin the nutrients it requires to restore a healthy glow and to hydrate. Three sessions are required to see optimal results and the product is injected in small amounts all over the treatment area.

Profhilo is an injectable 64mg/2mL hyaluronic acid product that remodels sagging and ageing skin tissue, giving skin tightening and lifting effects to the treated area. (link to Profhilo page). Both treatments can be used together (injected at different treatment times) in order to optimise skin health and appearance.

What Is the Difference Between Skin Beauty Boosters & Volumising Dermal Fillers?

Skin beauty boosters are an injectable moisturiser containing non-cross linked hyaluronic acid, amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. Although they will soften fine lines and give a more dewy complexion, skin beauty boosters are not designed to add volume to the treated area. Volumising hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are cross linked and formulated to give volume, create lift and definition.

Are Skin Beauty Boosters Safe?

Like any injectable treatment, skin beauty boosters should only be performed by an experienced medical practitioner. There are potential risks with any non-surgical treatment and these will always be discussed at length with you at your consultation, to ensure you are comfortable and informed before consenting to any treatment.
